Terms & Conditions

 

By booking a stay at Akila Holiday Home, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These conditions form the basis of your contract with the property owner. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

1. Booking and Payment

  • A 30% deposit of the total rental cost, along with a Good Housekeeping Deposit, is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 10 days before the start of your holiday.

  • Invoices will be provided for all payments.

  • We accept card payments.

2. Good Housekeeping Deposit

  • A Good Housekeeping Deposit is required to cover any damage, breakages, or cleaning beyond normal and reasonable use.

  • The deposit will be refunded within 7 days of the end of your stay, subject to satisfactory property inspection.

  • Deductions may be made for:

    • Excessive cleaning

    • Damage to furnishings, fixtures, or property

    • Unauthorised late checkout or breaches of occupancy rules

3. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).

  • The 30% booking deposit is non-refundable.

  • If the final balance has already been paid, partial refunds may be considered only if we are able to re-let the property for the same dates.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in is from [Insert Time, e.g., 3:00 PM] on the day of arrival.

  • Check-out is by [Insert Time, e.g., 10:00 AM] on the day of departure.

  • Late check-outs may incur an additional fee unless agreed in advance.

5. Occupancy and Guests

  • The maximum number of guests permitted is [Insert number, e.g., 4 persons], unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  • Additional guests are chargeable and must be approved prior to arrival.

  • Parties, events, or gatherings that exceed the agreed occupancy are not permitted.

6. Pets

  • Well-behaved pets are welcome with prior arrangement and are subject to an additional fee.

  • Pets must not be left unattended in the property and are not allowed on furniture or beds.

7. Guest Conduct and Neighbour Consideration

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully at all times and avoid creating excessive noise or disturbance.

  • If neighbours make legitimate complaints about noise, antisocial behaviour, or disruption, we reserve the right to terminate your stay and require immediate departure.

  • In such cases, no refunds will be given, and your deposit may be retained.

8. No Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas.

  • Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of your stay and forfeiture of your Good Housekeeping Deposit to cover cleaning or deodorising costs.

9. Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests are expected to treat the property and its contents with care and respect.

  • Any issues or damage must be reported immediately.

  • Guests must leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

10. Liability

  • The owners of Akila Holiday Home accept no liability for:

    • Loss or damage to guest property

    • Injury or accidents during your stay

    • Disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, power outages)

11. Right of Entry

We reserve the right to access the property during your stay in case of emergency or for necessary maintenance, with reasonable notice whenever possible.

12. General

  • This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • By paying the deposit and confirming your booking, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
